Crewe Alexandra Football Club are prepared to listen to offers for two of their most regular performers from last season. Right-back Danny Woodards and midfielder Gary Roberts have been placed on the transfer list and their details have been circulated to other clubs concerning their availability.
With Crewe eager to recoup some of their long-term investment in the players, the club will expect a transfer fee for both players. Both are still contracted to the club.
Woodards, who joined the club from Exeter City in January 2007 has made 51 appearances for the club during his 18-month spell. Although Danny's preferred position is as right back, he was often called upon during the 2007/2008 season to cover in central defence and proved that he has versatility to play right across the back four.
Roberts has progressed through the Academy ranks at the club, making 139 appearances and scoring 11 goals. Primarily a central midfielder, Gary can also operate at right back and a wide right position and had also found himself as a regular penalty taker for the club.
The 21-year-old has also represented England at various age groups including the Under-19s.
